Student Life

At Crown Southwest, we work to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and comfortable campus with a warm spiritual atmosphere. Students have opportunities to build lifelong friendships with others young men and women who love the Lord and are training to serve Him. A student at Crown Southwest will find himself in a place where Christians are happy in the Lord and enthusiastic about serving Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Life
The first call of God on our lives is the call to be “with Him” (Mark 3:14). Before Christ ever sent His disciples out to preach, He first called them to be with Him. Students are diligently encouraged to develop a devotional life, walking day-by-day with the Lord. The Christian Life Journal and other similar resources are provided to help students become steadfast in their daily Bible reading, prayer, and memorization of Scripture. Students attend chapel on each class day, hearing heart-stirring music and Bible messages brought by area pastors, missionaries, alumni, and faculty.

Dormitory Life
Beautiful, home-style dormitories are available for students not currently living in the M
etroplex. The ladies' dormitory is in the nearby upscale gated community, the Constellation Ranch, and the men's dormitory is a family-style house within walking distance of the college.

There is a comfortable atmosphere and ample living space for each student. Each dormitory has a living room and kitchen, self-contained washer and dryer units, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, an electric stove and oven, and a microwave o
ven. Currently, food service is not available. We are thankful to the area churches who have assisted students in this expense.

Out of town single students under 23 years of age must live in the dormitories. Married students and students 23 years old and older must secure their own housing. However, the Administrative Office can provide you with information on currently available off-campus housing.

Activities
Students have the opportunity to be involved in regular activities that provide fellowship and a welcome break from the rigors of work and courses. The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area offers a variety of attractions. Favorite activities include Texas State Fair, Historic Stockyards, rodeos, Ice! Gaylord Texan, Lake Texoma Baptist Youth Campfest, bowling, putt-putt, hayrides, cookouts, and local high school football games.
